Amy's Fitness Journey

Why did you join the RISE Method?

I joined the Rise Method challenge as a commitment to myself—to prioritise my health, build stronger habits, and step into 40 feeling like the best version of me. This year is all about growth, balance, and finding what makes me feel strong both mentally and physically. I wanted to use this transformation as a reset, not just for fitness, but to realign with healthier routines, nourish my body better, and make time for movement. I needed something like the Rise Method to learn but also keep me accountable.

What do you like about the program?

I really enjoyed the variety the program offered—both in nutrition and exercise. Having flexible options made it easier to stay consistent without feeling restricted. I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed the Sweat sessions—they pushed me in the best way! Body Combat quickly became a favourite, and I found the stretching sessions so rewarding, especially for recovery and mindfulness. The mix kept things interesting and reminded me that movement can be both challenging and fun.

What was your biggest win?

My biggest win was staying consistent and seeing it through to the end—especially during busy weeks and over Easter when I wasn’t sure I’d make it. Finishing the challenge reminded me of what I’m capable of when I commit to myself. I also picked up some new habits along the way, like planning meals more intentionally, making time for movement, and actually enjoying the process instead of seeing it as a chore. That mindset shift has been a game-changer.

What was your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was managing the days when I felt like I’d fallen off track—those moments when I was disappointed in myself and tempted to give up. But instead of letting one off day undo everything, I focused on taking it one step at a time. What really helped was the flexibility in the program—some days, just doing a quick 5-minute session gave me a sense of achievement and helped shift my mindset. Even something as simple as going for a walk reminded me that progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up.

What would you say to someone who was about to start their fitness journey?

Start small, be kind to yourself, and remember that consistency matters more than perfection. There will be tough days, but don’t let them define your journey—just focus on taking the next step. Celebrate the small wins, whether it’s showing up for a 5-minute session or choosing a nourishing meal. You don’t need to do it all at once; just keep moving forward. Trust the process, and know that every bit of effort adds up. You’re stronger than you think—and it’s worth it.
