Why did you join the RISE Method?
To get myself back on track. After feeling like I put my life on hold while attempting to become a surrogate (after 3 failed transfers) I completely let myself go.
What do you like about the program?
The app! It is amazing and really well thought out. Although being my first time doing the program I was constantly finding new things on the app and wishing I had of realised I could do that earlier and I loved how it synced up with myfitnesspal. Also the programs were so easy to follow.
What was your biggest win?
Being consistent. That was my goal and I did it. Besides the first 2 days of the challenge when I realised my goals were fat loss instead of fat loss and muscle building (higher calories) I stuck to my nutrition 100% the entire challenge. I don't think I've ever done that before.
What was your biggest challenge?
Planning meals and having the days meals ready to go for work or for being out all day. This was a must. I made it a priority to sit down for 5mins every night and work out the next days meals. Having 3 young kids, working and starting my own business means I am extremely busy and it was really challenging but I made sure I sat quietly every night to work on myself. Not gonna lie, the 4am starts for workouts were also hard 😜.
What would you say to someone who was about to start their fitness journey?
Focus on being consistent. Try not to dwell on anything that you think may be not be leading you in the direction that you want to go, improve on it.
